Physical Activity And Wellbeing

At Keen Kiddies, we are strong advocates for children to be active and healthy.

A child’s work is play. In the first five years, children build more physical skills than at any other stage of life, which is why movement is part of every day at Keen Kiddies.

Through indoor and outdoor play, structured movement experiences and unstructured exploration, children are supported to develop confidence, coordination, gross motor skills and healthy habits.

Nourishing Growing minds

At Keen Kiddies, food is part of the learning journey. Our seasonal menu is thoughtfully planned to fuel busy bodies and curious minds, with balanced meals prepared fresh each day.

Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea are provided, giving families one less thing to think about. We also cater to dietary requirements and allergies, helping every child feel safe and supported at mealtimes.

Supporting Emotional Growth

We use the Zones of Regulation to help children understand their feelings, bodies and behaviours in an age-appropriate way.

Children learn a simple shared language for emotions, while educators support them with strategies such as breathing, movement, quiet time and asking for help.

Zones of Regulation
sunsmart

Keen Kiddies is a Proudly SunSmart centre. Our educators wear SunSmart hats and clothing, and actively promote safe outdoor practices.

Sunscreen stations are set up in each room, with sunscreen applied before outdoor play and reapplied where needed. Children also wear wide-brimmed hats and protective clothing when outdoors.
